Gateway Key Housing

For this house type, by creating a simple pivot point between the heated and unheated spaces, a dynamic urban form can be generated creating places to play, meet and exchange, without compromising the robust, overall strategy. This scheme has been developed for a sloping site but much of the approach would be equally valid/ adaptable for other situations: robust construction, flood resilient lower levels, front and rear access, strong street connection with good levels of overlooking, and private courtyard gardens. The units will provide a high standard of accommodation for key workers and small families within a scheme where the council protects and caps property value to ensure suitability for 1st time buyers.
